Description: This slender glass tube with an enclosed glass bulb at one end containing mercury is also known as a thermometer. It has a numbered scale that is sealed in and rises and falls with changes of temperature. It is held within a metal case (possibly aluminum or sterling silver), with a chain attached to the case. Case dimensions: 10.5 x 1.5 cm.
